The Hot/Freezing "Chick" of the Birdsnest

The FBR Open has teed off and the party has started.  Last night was my first time to The Birdsnest and it was more tame and COLD than I expected, soo I can’t wait for the craziness to ensue Friday and Saturday night.  Here’s just a few pics from my evening.

Oh Snap!!! The 80′s are back!

I’m feeling 80′s today.

I was glancing through my February issue of Marie Claire and saw the headline “Divas in Distressed Denim” followed by pictures of my favorite celebrities in slashed, bleached, acid washed jeans (sorry I don’t have a pic).  I’ve been resisting any trends reminiscent of the 80′s since fashionistas starting grumbling about them last year. But today, I’m feeling wild and thought I would give the 80′s trends a try.

At Goodwill

I can’t see myself spending a lot of money on ripped or bleached denim, so I decide to stop by Goodwill on Scottsdale Rd., just south of Thomas.  Good finds there, just nothing in my size.

But I hit the jackpot at Buffalo Exchange in Tempe!! Haven’t been there in ages!!! I found great, fun stuff. The best was this black tulle skirt that reminded me of Madonna in the Desperately Seeking Susan days!!!

I found some other stuff, but only bought the acid washed jeans (so the tulle skirt is still there!!). I think I’m going to tatter them a little bit more before I wear them tomorrow night. Best part, the jeans were only $14.

My "new" 80's jeans!!
