There’s no turning back now. I’m half-way thru my closet and it’s not pleasant. I feel like a jerk for having so much stuff, when I know there’s many people out there who aren’t as fortunate.
What was I thinking??
On the upside, I’ve bought some pretty interesting and hilarious pieces like this… Why on earth would I purchase this?? And why would I stop for a minute to decide if I should keep it because
1. Some people think the eighties are fashionable again and,
2. It’s a fabulous lime color, great for spring
My friend Lisa and I laughed and laughed at this and I had to share it with you. Hope you chuckle at this too!

I loved all of Michelle Obama’s Inaugural looks over this historic, Inaugural weekend. Of course, her ball gown, by Jason Wu, was exquisite.
I have to wonder, however. What’s with the green heels and gloves in the jacket / dress ensemble. The green shoes distracted me.

2009 is an exciting year of opportunity and positive change for me and hopefully, for you!! Sooo, my resolution is to clean out my closet by the end of the month. Out with the old and unworn and in with the new! I feel the chunks rising in my throat as I think about tossing old pieces that I have loved, but it’s time I get tough. If I haven’t worn it in a year – it’s out. If there’s tags on it and it’s never been worn – it’s on eBay. If it doesn’t go with anything or isn’t part of an outfit – it’s out.
I’ve talked the talk, now time to walk the walk…

MICHAEL Michael Kors Berkley Clutch -
This is by far the greatest clutch ever!! I have it in Metallic purple and it’s my current Saturday night bag. It’s the perfect size – not too small, not too big. The greatest thing is the handle. It’s so easy to hold. I tend not to buy clutches because I don’t want to be bothered holding it and I loose things easily so something with a strap or handle works best for me. Right now, it comes in Gunmetal Silver, Gold Metallic and Zebra Haircalf. The Metallics are $198. The Haircalf is a little more at $298. Go see Brandi at Michael Kors at Fashion Square.
