If you haven’t seen The Phoenix Art Museum’s exhibit “Medievalism – Fashion’s Romance with the Middle Ages” you’re missing an exceptional display of fashion from some of the world’s most talented designers since the 1800′s.  

If you’re looking for more information / education on the subject of the roots of fashion, check out the “Fashion in the Middle Ages” lecture at the Phoenix Art Museum on Tuesday, March 21st at 7:00 p.m.  Sarah-Grace Heller, Ph.D. explores the concept, “Did fashion exist in the Middle Ages?”, which novelties were sought after, and how was personal distinction possible?

Couture at Fleur't Boutique

I walked in to Fleur’t Boutique as a cute, young mom. One hour later, I walked out as a sexy, long haired goddess.

I visited Fleur’t at their “Golddigger” event last week. I planned to stop in to say a quick hi and visit this popular boutique for the first time. A five minute “hello” quickly turned into an hour of trying on their fabulous selection of haute couture including Jean Paul Gaultier, LaRok & T-Bags, getting clip-on hair extensions from Hair Diamond, having my makeup retouched by the adorably sweet Mary Beth of M.B. York in her “Lip & Lash Lounge” and perusing all the blingy accessories!

Beyond the fabulous clothing, accessories and large selection of sale items, I was equally impressed with the warm, friendly staff. Shopping for couture can often be intimidating. But happily, that was not my experience at Fleur’t.
