This warms my heart! Help a Mommy or Daddy look like a model for a special Mother’s Day portrait for UMOM. Here’s the details from the event organizers…

WHAT: A day for celebrating family at UMOM New Day Centers homeless shelter.  Professional photographers will take family portraits for all the UMOM families and give the photos to the families for free. Volunteers will provide hair styling and makeup services and serve a special brunch as part of the event.

WHEN: Saturday, May 9th  9am – 2pm, Hair and Make-up will start at 9am, Photos at 11am

HOW YOU CAN HELP: Donate your time and services. Volunteers are needed to do hair styling and makeup for the moms and the girls and give hair cuts for the men.  We also need volunteers to help serve brunch, distribute beauty products for the families to keep, receive their photos and help set up and clean up.

Donate  NEW, UN-USED makeup and beauty supplies. All products collected for this event will be donated to the UMOM families.  Needed items include but are not limited to:   Foundation – Eye Shadow – Makeup brushes – Hairspray – Powder – Eye Liner – Lip Liner – Hair Ties – Mascara – Lip Gloss / Lipstick  – Brushes / Combs – Bobby Pins

Of course, you can also donate cash for organizers to buy supplies.
