I’m so ready for fall. Actually, we’ll have to wait for our Arizona “winter” to wear these without dying of heat stroke!  I must have a pair…

Food for Some Fashionable Thoughts…

Love these pictures by Alex Bussa Photography.  Check out his website (which I LOVE!), www.alexbussa.com for more and for some interesting insights from a professional photographer.

Here’s a link to a fabulous video of him with model Jazmin Riley and makeup artist Lorri Mitchell. So Fun!! Behind the Scenes.

Private Sewing & Fashion Illustration Lessons by Angela Johnson

Private Fashion Illustration and Beginning Sewing lessons with Angela Johnson

Angela Johnson

Angela Johnson

If you or anyone you know are interested in taking some private sewing lessons or fashion illustration lessons with Angela at her Scottsdale home/studio, contact her for more information at angela@angelajohnsondesigns.com.  The cost $30/hour.

The breakdown: Flexible on times/days, You can do as many lessons as you want and stop at any time, You can buddy up with someone and the rate goes down to $20/hour per person. (obviously it takes a little longer to get through things if there is more than one person, but mostly only for sewing.  We can usually stick to the pace on illustration).

Not only is Angela one of my favorite fashion designers, but she’s been teaching fashion classes since 2001 and taught fashion illustration at FIDM by the woman who literally wrote the book that is used by most fashion schools (It’s called 9 heads).  So, you will learn how to sew and draw exactly how you would in a fashion school. Angela’s style is very junior and fun.

Susan Di Staulo is offering private Fashion Illustration lessons in the privacy of your home!

Susan Di Staulo

Susan Di Staulo is offering lessons in Fashion Illustration as well.  She is a very talented illustrator and does all the illustrations you see at Scottsdale Fashion Square for Scottsdale Fashion Week and Arizona Bridal Week.  She will come to your home in the Scottsdale area and teach you privately.  Her rates are $35/hour since she comes to you. To contact Susan, email her at sdistaulo@gmail.com. Susan’s style is more high end.

You can also email me for Angela’s syllabus at kira@fashionphoenix.com! This is a great opportunity to learn some basic sewing skills or fashion illustration skills from fabulous professionals without the high cost and commitment of the professional classroom.
