How to Spot a Frauda, Chanel or Hermes

Faux-tton or Authentic Vuitton??

There’s a big debate in the shopping world over the sale and usage of imposter goods, especially handbags. Should you or should you not carry a faker, a Frauda, Chanel, Vuitton, Hermes, etc.? Are fake handbags good for business because they are walking advertisements, real or not? Manufacturers are getting craftier at masking the subtle differences of fake bags, which in turn, is leading to greater product security and authenticity measures from authentic couture and design houses.[polldaddy

Here’s a great article from the Wall Street Journal on spotting a fake designer handbag.

The Modern MANual – “How to Be a Man” by Glenn O’Brien

We all need guidance at some point on our personal journey. If you’re a man, may I suggest a couple of simple ways to elevate your personal game of self-reliance, self-improvement and self-empowerment…

1. Google It – It’s like your interactive wife or partner, especially when you don’t have either. :)

2. Get the MANual by Glenn O’Brien, “How to Be a Man – A Guide to Style and Behavior for the Modern Gentleman”. Mr. O’Brien is GQ Magazine’s famed “The Style Guy” and is an expert at offering advice on putting your best foot forward. Though the title may be a little daunting and the verbiage can be thick at times,  the book is a great way to open your heart to some new ideas at self-improvement and elevating your personal game in fashion, etiquette and overall fantasticness.

BE BRAVE – Ditch the fanny pack, unhook your cell from your belt loop, wear an undershirt even in Arizona.

Take yourself from boy to man with this manual. Find it at Anthropologie for under $30.

Target.com. An undershirt keeps yourself to yourself. Protects your fashion investment (the nice shirt you're wearing over it).

Bad Movie, Good Shoes.

“Bad Teacher” with Cameron Diaz and my celeb-crush Justin Timberlake is, well, bad. The best thing about the movie – the Lou’s on Cameron. If it wasn’t for the shoes, I would have walked.

Check out a few of my favorite Louboutin’s right now from Saks Fifth Avenue. Inspirational and beautiful pieces of wearable art. And if you’re in the buying or browsing mood, click Lous at Saks.
