Rachel Zoe Collection
By: Lindsey
In January, I wrote about the debut of Rachel Zoe’s signature collection. You can now pre-order pieces exclusively online at Neiman Marcus! If you love the clothes from the 2011 collection then you just might appreciate Zoe’s use of color and distinct, eye-catching silhouettes for her Resort 2012 collection. In a recent article for Style magazine, Rachel Zoe had this to say about a bright new color palette: “With Fall, a lot of what I was doing was staying in my comfort zone. Here, I’m playing with color, playing with prints, playing with proportion a little bit.”
Like her first collection, Rachel Zoe stays true to the seventies while keeping each look unique and modern. I love the bright purple pants from Resort 2012, the divine backless black dress with lace sleeves and fun and whimsical abstract animal print dresses. Zoe, is personally a big believer in the maxi skirt. Her version, however, has a significant slit that Rachel describes as, “not dowdy, but it’s not overtly sexy either.” Whether you want to wear something bright and bold or keep your look classic and simple, the Resort 2012 collection has a little bit of everything for everyone.
