Mommy Approved: Rachel Zoe Weighs-In on Maternity Wear

Rachel Zoe and son Skyler Morrison Berman

by Jacque

Stylist Rachel Zoe, known as the bohemian-chic genius whose celebrity client list has included Nicole Richie, Anne Hathaway and Eva Mendez, is reaching out to an audience she may enjoy most: mommies.

After giving birth to a baby boy in March of 2011, Zoe has continually expressed her love for motherhood. Now she’s honing her styling skills in a “Mom Or Not” fashion report, featured on The Zoe Report website.

The report features ten transitional items, including wedge sandals, skincare oil and a Raquel Allegra caftan dress, which has Zoe written all over. Below each item you can find a tid bit of fashion advice or product description to justify why it’s mommy-approved. For example, a featured nail lacquer from Sheswai is formaldehyde-free, meaning no harsh chemicals near your little one.

Weigh-in on all ten items: here.

Product Review: Wen Hair Care by Chas Dean

I’ve been battling dry, brittle and lackluster hair for the past few months. With the weather change and the dry, winter air, my hair’s texture and lack of shine is bordering embarrassing. And I’ve been searching for a hair care system that works.

So it seemed serendipitous that one evening when up late at night with a sick son, that the Wen by Chas Dean hair care system  came on. And just after the first demo as narrated by Alyssa Milano, my son said, “Mom. You should buy Wen for your hair.” No kidding. My 5 year old had noticed my dry hair too. I should try it. So I logged on and ordered. Eight hours later my son asked if the Wen Cleansing Conditioner had arrived. Not yet. :) Seems we were both excited for mommy to have soft blonde hair again.

So it came. And I have tried it on my dry, damaged hair. And if you don’t feel like reading on, here’s the bottom line about the hair care system: Wen Cleansing Conditioner works for me. I needed two applications and the Re Moist Treatment that comes in the kit for $29.99, but my hair feels great. And looks shiny and healthy and I’m excited to try it again for the third time today.

For those of you who need the details on Wen and how it worked for me, read more after the jump:
