The Style Coach – Servin’ Up Style to the Valley
Almost daily, a wanna be professional “stylist” gallivants onto the scene wanting to dress the local models, rich & skinny Valley socialites and most intimidating, YOU! Armed with their degree from FIDM or FIT, they claim their time and money spent at these fine institutions affords them license to direct you on how to present yourself. Often it seems their answer to your fashion and style dilemma is to toss everything in your closet and replace it with a barrage of expensive charges from Louis Vuitton and Gucci. However, one local stylist is taking her natural knack for sophistication and style and teaching YOU how to look and feel your best in a fun, four-week program as The Style Coach.
The Style Coach, Jill DeAndrea, has styled for fashion media including Java Magazine, Fantastics Mag and for the photoshoots at your favorite fashion blog, Fashion Phoenix, making sure the clothes and accessories wear and represent the vision for the concept or photograph. She’s the type of true fashionista able to wear Target as effortlessly as Lanvin. Working upon her industry experience, love of fashion and general inspiring attitude, Jill recently launched The Style Coach custom workshops designed to help women unleash their own unique personal style and boost their self-esteem. The Style Coach private program includes a custom workbook, written by Jill herself, and over eight fun-filled hours of fashion and style tips, demos, exercises and clothing advice aiming to change your wardrobe to change your life.
I am delighted to report that I was included in the inaugural Style Coach workshop. Myself, along with three other very unique women, had a blast learning about fashion, trends and surprisingly, more about our selves personally with the help of The Style Coach workbook and exercises. Though I love gabbing over the latest seasonal trends and discussing ways to revamp my favorite closet staples, I mostly enjoyed the time to celebrate my personal sense of style and connect with other women on this very personal subject that we love and live in – fashion.
I invite you to experience The Style Coach four-week workshop in the privacy of your own home or soon at select private locations. The workshop is designed for a group of 6-10 women, so gather your favorite girlfriends for a fun, fashion-filled experience. Or contact me to help find you a group. And check FashionPhoenix.com for tips and tricks from The Style Coach, Jill DeAndrea, each month. For more info or to schedule a hosted workshop, contact kira@fashionphoenix.com.

I love New York. New Yorkers. And Shoes…
Some New Yorker, randomly just came up to me with this proposition:
“I’ll buy you all the shoes in this city, if you’ll have dinner with me tonight.”
Shoes? Any shoes? Are you kidding? Did you cosmically sense that I LOVE shoes? Soooo tempting, but no thank you. I don’t take candy from strangers, even if they’re luscious Louboutins or melt-in-your-mouth Manolos.
Though I love my hometown of Phoenix, there’s just no place like NYC. For characters with hilarious propositions or for SHOES! Headed to Jeffrey in the Meatpacking District to drool over the best shoes in the Big Apple!
