Shoplifting is a serious crime people…
Dear Fashion Friends,
This is a friendly reminder from your loving Fashion Phoenix team that shoplifting is a serious crime. It is inexcusable and punishable by law.
Furthermore, if you feel the need to steal, we urge you to please leave your children at home. I witnessed a young shoplifter get caught at Old Navy as she tried to run through the door this evening. I didn’t see the young woman’s face as she ran out the door, but I did see her arm and hair go flying as the Loss Prevention man grab her purse right off her shoulder as she darted. For a few moments they argued through the glass, until finally she walked back in the store - WITH A BABY ON HER HIP!!! Sadly, I’m not kidding. Nor am I kidding when as they walked toward me I blurt, “You have a baby with you! What’s wrong with you!”
In conclusion, not sure what’s more sad to me – that people feel the need to steal or they feel the need to bring their children along for the extra hands to carry all the loot. Either way, not very fashion-friendly. Remember dear fashion lovers, we’re all in this together.

Boo! I Hate Halloween!

Now that's a pumpkin!
I have a confession to make…I hate Halloween! Who would have guessed since I love getting dressed up, glammed up, dolled up and occasionally, slutted up Vegas-style! But for whatever reason, Halloween always scares me, fashionably speaking of course!
It’s quite the paradox really. I could be anything I want to be and look anyway I want to look – wear super sparkly glitter in my hair, a pink Britney wig, spray paint myself, walk around looking like a Nick Cave Soundsuit or Lady Gaga, yet I cringe at the thought of making a fashion fool of myself on the one day that fashion-foolism is allowed!

Sparkles in a can. My Halloween hallelujah!
So I’m sitting here. It’s Tuesday and I have procrastinated finding an outfit for the 31st year in a row. Ever being the sucker for sparkles, I did take myself to the Halloween Superstore for some hair/body glitter and bejeweled lashes this morning. It’s a start. Now that I’m writing this, pondering my personal paradox of Halloween, maybe I’ll be an angel this year. Those that know me, know the paradox in that choice!
And ever being the fashionista, I’ll not be hitting the Superstore again for the rest of my costume. No way! Halloween is another fabulous occasion for a new dress! Angel white, of course!
Would love to know what you’re wearing this Halloween. Email me and I’ll post your picture! Have a safe one. xo
