“Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” Coco Chanel

Another company bites the “economic” dust…

from wwd.com
I think we are all feeling the fear of the economic crisis, in some capacity or another. It’s scary out there right now! Some of America’s largest companies and retailers are biting the economic dust. And these billion-dollar failures affect us all.
So to those of you business owners, fashion-related or not, who are succeeding or maybe just hanging on like many of us, pat yourself on the back! You deserve it! You are navigating through one of the worst economic obstacle courses seen in decades. And you’re surviving this leg of the course when uber-companies like GM, with teams of high-paid, high-educated executives and handouts from the government, had to bail before the finish line because of their financial & organizational leg cramps were too much!!
Happy Wednesday Business Owners!

Alex, Andy & Luis
Fashion Phoenix’s winner of the free haircut with traveling stylist, Luis Solis, was Andy Royal of Singleton Moms. Singleton Moms was founded in 2006 by Andy Royal and Jody Farley-Berens, who were moved to action when they lost a wonderful friend and single mother, Michelle Singleton, to cancer. The group provides financial assistance and services like housecleaning, meal delivery, and more to single mothers undergoing Chemotherapy/Radiation or have recently undergone these types of treatments. Singleton Moms is a wonderful community resource. To learn more or how you can help, visit www.singletonmoms.org.
Thank you sooo much to Luis Solis and Alexander Garcia who came to Andy’s home for a cut, style and makeup application. She looked great!

WTH?? For just $6 dollars at Target remind that special baby-daddy that’s he’s an unfashionable slob and basically shouldn’t leave the house.

This could perhaps be a joke for the fashionable father. Or a hint for the unfashionable guy to kick up the wardrobe a notch. Not sure which or why the “University of Dad” would care to comment, but…I can’t stop laughing!!
