I started out on a negative note this morning, anticipating “one of those days”. So I turned to Rachel Zoe’s “Style A to Zoe” for some positive inspiration to make this a fabulous day, rather than a negative one.
I think most of us would agree that our outside often reflects how we are feeling on the inside. For example, when I feel down in the dumps or overwhelmed, you may see me in my favorite ripped jeans, a tank top from Old Navy, flip flops and no hair and makeup (most days recently!). But today, I’m going to pull out a great accessory to lift my spirits - my Louis Vuitton. The one my husband gave me before we had kids, before this whole “recession” drama and before I even knew who Louis Vuitton was! For as Rachel says…
“Accessories can tell a lot about your state of mind. The eyes might be the window to the soul, but the jewelry, shoes, belt and handbag reveal where we are-or where we’d like to be.”

I just got to the AGA Couture show and Im super excited. I got to meet Alexander and Luis backstage while they worked their magic! And, I get to sit next to Alex himself! Wow!! Cant wait to show you the pictures from the show on Monday!

Zang Toi Trunk Show at Neiman Marcus-courtesy of Corbin Chamberlain
Our Fashion Phoenix friend, Jennyvi of Jennyvi Dizon Couture, met Zang Toi at Neiman Marcus yesterday. Jealous! He was hosting a trunk show at the Scottsdale Fashion Square location that ends TODAY and came to promote his line! Here’s what she say’s from her blog…
I was out with my friend Corbin (my muse and confidant) today and we went into Nieman Marcus and caught Zang Toi’s trunk show and his amazing display of generosity. He made a donation to St. Mary’s food bank, a food bank associated with my husbands company the Association for Arizona Food Banks (www.azfoodbanks.org) (picture enclosed), what a great designer and a great and humble man.
The show is still going on today from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Not sure if he’ll stop back by again today. By the way, Neiman Marcus is giving you 30% OFF for donating to St. Mary’s Food Bank until tomorrow.

Not to make light of this very scary situation, but should we add a medical mask to our ensemble?? I feel like I’m getting mixed messages from the media, the CDC, the Vice President of the United States and even a quick call to my pediatrician about the Swine Flu Virus.
Here are Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, the fame-loving celebrity couple, getting off a flight yesterday. And of course, Michael Jackson who’s been wearing a medical mask FOREVER! Has he known about the Swine Flu all along?!

So, in an effort to be a responsible mommy and citizen, I thought I would drop into the drugstore and pick a few masks up for my family, just in case. To my horror, here’s the sign at my local CVS…
So now what? Should I wrap a light scarf around my head and face? Should I cover my mouth when I leave the house with one of my Aunt Bertha’s beautiful vintage ‘kerchiefs? Would this help? Will the models at the AGA Couture show tomorrow be wearing medical masks as the newest accessory? Should I have my child wear a Halloween mask like Michael Jackson’s kids? Will virus be under control before I figure out a good solution? I hope so.
