We are looking for mature, experienced, reliable, flexible team players willing to do “whatever it takes’ to meet a deadline, work with other departments, work on the creative process as part of a team and work directly with customers, directors, producers, etc. Basic skills required include, but are not limited to:
-Basic pattern making, measuring, and cutting skills
-Garment construction and costume design
-Knowledge of industrial sewing machines and industrial sergers
-Ability to sew spandex and stretchable fabric is a must!
-Capability to sew large items such as drape panels, ceiling swags and treatments, fabric tunnels, tablecloths and napkins.
Any experience in the theatrical industry or a design background is a major plus!

Update on The State of ‘Union’ at Biltmore Fashion Park

Union Biltmore Fashion ParkWe heard awhile back that a new independent retail concept is coming to Biltmore Fashion Park. Well, now we know more. Here’s an update to the state of UNION…

Whoopie Baking Company, Citrine Natural Beauty Bar, Paris Envy and Frances Vintage are the first wave of retailer’s announced for the one-of-a-kind, urban and independent shopping experience at Biltmore Fashion Park

Set to open in November, the 7,200 square-foot UNION will be located on the east end of the shopping center between Stingray Sushi and Seasons 52, offering shoppers an exciting mix of more than a dozen one-of-a-kind intimate boutiques ranging in size from 200-500 SQ FT, as well as a casual eatery.

UNION is an opportunity to bring small, independent entrepreneurs and artists to Biltmore replicating the unique retail mix historically found at Biltmore Fashion Park.

Local entrepreneur Georganne Bryant of Frances Vintage will join the UNION line up offering women’s clothing, shoes, accessories, books, paper goods, novelty items and art.  Frances will also keep their original location on Central Avenue and Camelback Road.
