Get on the fashionable side with an Assymetrical Swimsuit. This week’s trend report is just in time for your Memorial Day pool party. This season, we are loving the one sided suit, or the assymetrical one piece swimsuit for your chic gathering. Check out the latest styles from what we found at Everything But Water. And don’t forget a few of these fashion tips on how to shop for swimwear:

Do try it on! Swimwear from one designer to the next may have different cuts and shapes for their size.

Don’t go larger, go smaller.  When in doubt, remember that swimwear tends to expand when its wet, so if it’s already a bit big, it may be a soggy and saggy suit when wet which is neither flattering nor functional.

If you’re feeling a bit self-conscious about your curves, don’t cover them up. Flatter them right! A higher cut in the bottom, may help your hips look sexy, curvy. More coverage where there’s more to love may make you look bigger, not smaller. Try on a few different styles to see what’s most flattering.

Metallics ruled the red carpet recently at the Met Ball Gala in New York City and I have been searching for how to incoporate a shine into my summer wardrobe without overheating my budget and myself as summer kicks in. And I found these Diane Von Furstenburg Boymuda shorts in Metallic Silver are a fabulous option to stay cool and cool in this summer.

How to Wear Metallics: I consider metallics to be neutral so they mix and match well. Any of the metallic shorts will work with white tops, even simple white button downs for summer.

How to Wear Silver: And try silver-based metallics with warm colors like a soft pastel peach.

How to Wear Gold: Likewise, mix your golds with your cooler colors like blues.

How to Wear Them Both: Mix and match silvers and golds together. Wearing a silver metallic short like the DVF Boymuda? Mix with a gold watch and a few mixed silver and gold bracelets and bangles.
