Wow! What a fabulous event! If you missed this year’s Xavier College Prep’s Fashion Show titled “Dream” yesterday, you missed the best show I’ve been to this year!! Everything about the show was glamorous and well orchestrated – the clothes & the shoes provided by Saks Fifth Avenue, the models from S.I.M. and The Agency Arizona, the ambiance, the fashionable young women in the audience. It was both a fashion treat and successful fundraiser for the Xavier Scholarship Fund with about 1200 guests participating in the event at the Sheraton Downtown Phoenix.

La Lou Salon owner Lindsey Smith and her team
Backstage was a crazy! Local salons including The Edge on Wellness, La Lou Salon and Leidan Mitchell styled the runway models and more than 200 Xavier students who participated in the show. The stylists from The Edge and La Lou donated their time and services to help the Xavier students look their best for the show.

Fabulous shoes waiting their turn for the runway

Last minute touch ups
I must start with the SHOES!! The shoes were “bananas“!! I got a chance to sneak back stage and all my favorite designers were represented in this show – Christian Loubitin, Stewart Weitzman, Fendi, Chanel, Mui Mui – oh My!!

My favorites by Stewart Weitzman

I'm a fool for these by Fendi

On the runway
The clothing was couture and contemporary. Here are my favorite looks…

"Dream"

Spring chic

Assymetrical

The men of "Dream"

Sexy for spring

Spotlight on Saks
Off the runway, the young women of Xavier were equally impressive and well dressed. One young lady told me the girls of Xavier are so fashionable because it “trickles down from their moms”! Aawwhh!

Post fashion show, the class of 2009 class dazzled the audience with a tribute program of music, dancing and more fashion.

Special thanks to Xavier for inviting Fashion Phoenix to this lovely event. This event will definitely be on my list for next year!
