Calypso St. Barth and Kirin Christianson, in partnership with Dress for Success, whose organizational mission is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women since its 1997 formation, have joined forces for an amazing FREE to attend – in store event with 10% of ALL sales for the night benefiting Dress for Success on September 20, 2011, from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Food and beverages will be provided. Event is open to the public.

A CONVERSATION WITH EDITH HEAD

Susan Claassen portrays the legendary costume designer and eight-time Oscar winner Edith Head in an intimate retelling of her life, which includes juicy stories featuring Old Hollywood movie stars and Head’s famous “Edith-isms.” The Los Angeles Times says Claassen “nails Edie,” the legendary designer who worked with iconic Hollywood actresses including Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Marlene Dietrich, Katharine Hepburn, Ginger Rogers and Angela Lansbury.

The one-woman performance starts Friday, September 16th at the Herberger Theater Center.

ERA OF LOVE

Tiffany & Co. puts its legendary style into words with Tiffany Era, a new jewelry collection that spells out L-O-V-E.

The collection is inspired by a 1970s ring design by Donald Claflin, a Tiffany designer from 1966 to 1977. Claflin was known for creating playful jewelry of a generous scale.

Wide bangles and dimensional pendants gleam in 18 karat gold and sterling silver. The designs are squared and slightly contoured, with the four sides serving as polished panels for Claflin’s bold cutouts. The jewelry draws the eye to decipher its graphic lettering. Tiffany also offers its famous logo, T&CO., in this striking motif.

Superbly crafted, Tiffany Era captures the original design’s joyful expression of love and complements the rich, luxurious layers of fall fashion. The collection is available at select Tiffany & Co. stores worldwide.
