I am here to share my frightening Arizona-bred skin damage with you as I go “Under The Light” with Dr. Van Dyke to improve the damage-done with the latest in cosmetic laser procedures, “Clear + Brilliant.”
Van Dyke is one of 12 clinics nationwide to offer the newest laser therapy, perfect to freshen up skin conditions like mine, needing a bit more help than a peel, yet thankfully not needing a deep laser overhaul such as Fraxel.
I hate to even admit that it’s time to take a deeper look into the damage my earlier years in the Arizona sun have left me with: summer pool parties, 3-day weekends boating Lake Pleasant, outdoor exercise. The damage adds up summer after summer, leaving sun souvenirs blotching my cheeks, creasing my eyes and scaring everyone with this photo.
Truthfully, I’m nervous about the new procedure, though Dr. Van Dyke and her team have taken excellent care of me before. But mostly excited about the possibilities of finally, finally having soft, bright, healthy skin.

I recently had my hair done at Neiman MarcusScottsdale Fashion Square by Brandon Martinez, celebrity stylist and creator of B. The Product styling products. Amazing! The product line, exclusive to Neiman Marcus, included my two new must-have products, Sun Out and Dry Cleaned Dry Shampoo.
Sun Out is the perfect re-’do aid. Skip the wash and spray in and restyle your hair as desired. Smells like a tropical heaven. Luckily, I walked in with super sweaty, greasy hair as an unintentional challenge to Brandon’s styling skills. A few sprays of this super-power product, followed by his mane magic and I was wowed!
