PHOENIX ART MUSEUM – ANN BONFOEY TAYLOR

Excited for the new Ann Bonfoey Taylor wardrobe exhibit by fashion design curator Dennita Sewell of the Phoenix Art Museum. Ms. Bonfoey Taylor gifted her extensive collection of masterfully crafted couture and riding and sporting ensembles to the museum. The collection was selected by Arts & Antiques magazine as one of the top 100 museum gifts of 2008.

The exhibit opens to the public on February 27th.

Check out this fabulous video of the collection Phx Art Fashion.

CLEANSE YOUR CLOSET AND YOUR HEART – POOR LITTLE RICH GIRL RESALE BOUTIQUE

My Hale Bob dress Size 2, diplayed on the wall at PLRG Arcadia.

This poor little, used-to-be-rich, girl just dropped off a load of fabulous items to the Arcadia location of Poor Little Rich Girl Resale! Can’t wait to see how much cash my gently used, upscale designer items including Hale Bob, Poleci, Miss Sixty Jeans and more will bring to my hot little hands.

More than the money, what an emotional cleanse a closet cleanse can initiate. The freedom I feel from ridding myself of clothes that just don’t support me and who I really am at THIS VERY MOMENT in time is exhilarating. More than 75% of the fantastic items I took in were fabulous – but not my size, not my style, not the real ME, RIGHT NOW!! Though I adored them and they were worn with love, it is time to bid farewell, making room for something new to love and adore just the same. The ill-fitting clothes weren’t serving me anymore – supporting the fabulous, courageous, modern, creative genius that I am. THAT YOU ARE TOO! Underneath the gunk and junk you don’t need. Out with them! And an end to the useless space and energy they were crowding in my closet and in my heart!

You can do the same. If you can’t do it alone, I would love to help you. Email me at kira@fashionphoenix.com. poor little rich girl resale, poor little rich girl resale, my sister’s closet, my sister’s closet, my sister’s closet, phoenix resale, phoenix resale, scottsale designer resale

Poor Little Rich Girl Resale is taking designer spring and pre-summer dresses, skirts, tops, shoes in great condition! For more information on the store and locations, visit Poor Little Rich Girl Resale.

GOAL FOR 2011 – MEET MICHAEL KORS

A Message to the Fashion Gods:

I would like to meet Michael Kors this year. Or at least talk to him on the phone. Or perhaps receive a pity tweet to @FashionPHX.

All options will suffice in filling my fashion-loving heart with warmth and love.

Have a great Monday. Off to Scottsdale Fashion Square for P-Day sales! Yay!

L.A.M.B. FALL 2011 ~ NEW YORK FASHION WEEK

By: Lindsey

At New York Fashion Week, Gwen Stefani’s show was very eclectic and diverse. Gwen had many different looks for the models but stayed true to the label’s signature look. Each look was complete with its own soundtrack by music-video director and Gwen’s friend, Sophie Muller. Models walked down the runway in military-inspired gear, Native American print dresses with Gwen’s signature ‘rasta’ vibe. Other looks included a London look, black and white mod, wild west meets street style and Bond-girl glamour with jewelry by Noir.

My favorite looks from the Fall 2011 show are featured below. Just like Gwen herself, this collection reminds us to experiment with fashion and enjoy it. Try a new look but stay true to what we love and our own style. What are some of your favorite looks from the show?

New York Fashion Week is about expressing the evolution of style, Gwen Stefani continues to provide us with a new vision and perspective to the undiscovered yet classic style we have come to know. We can look forward to each years inspirations at this event.
