Erika is the winner of the Holobi Stylist training. Congrats Erika and have a great weekend learning.

The photo I have attached is of me before leaving to go to my high school graduation.  I’m wearing a vintage dress from the 1960′s which I believe was handmade.  My personal style could most easily be described as mod (from the fashion-conscious youth subculture that originated in 60′s London), but with a touch of glamour to modernize the overall look.  For example, I’ll pair a shift dress with an army green parka, and add a glitzy statement necklace as a finishing touch.

I am very interested in fashion styling as a career.  I spend the majority of my free time researching everything from current runway fashion and upcoming trends to fashion history and vintage magazine spreads.  I will begin attending Chandler-Gilbert Community College this semester in hopes of transferring to NAU to pursue a degree in Merchandising.  I could definitely use this training!  Although I have a general sense of what looks good on people, I feel that I could benefit from knowing more about different body types and what clothing would suit these figures best.
