Acclaimed bra boutique, {intimacy}, will open the doors of its first Arizona location at Scottsdale Fashion Square on
Monday, January 31st at 10am.
This will be the 14th location nationwide for founder and national bra fit expert Susan Nethero, known as “The Bra Whisperer”. A regular on Oprah, The Today Show and How to Look Good Naked, Nethero trained under the Queen of England’s royal bra fitter and has become the national authority on the “perfect bra fit”. She created the retail concept around the goal of improving women’s self-confidence and making them more comfortable by giving them the right bra size – 85% of women are wearing the wrong bra size!
The 2,200 square-foot Scottsdale store will offer:
- Complimentary personalized 30-minute consultations for all clients with an {intimacy} bra fit specialist. Instead of using traditional fitting methods, {intimacy} pioneered a holistic technique that forgoes the tape measure. Sounds interesting?!
- 90+ bra sizes (A-K cup)
- More than 15,000 bras housed in gold cabinets (a majority of which are hard-to-find European brands including La Perla, Marie Jo, Aubade, Chantelle)
- Oversized spa-like dressing rooms.
What defines a style icon? To me a style icon is someone who is smart, strong, independent and innovative. A style icon loves to experiment and have fun with fashion, making it seem effortless. Two of my favorite fashion inspirations are Iman and Audrey Hepburn.
Iman (Iman Abdulmajid) is Somali-American supermodel, actress and entrepreneur. She was discovered by fashion photographer Peter Beard. A year later, she was modeling for Vogue in 1975. Iman became an inspiration and muse to many including designer Yves Saint-Laurent. She started her own cosmetics firm in 1994 and is currently involved in numerous charitable endeavors. Iman works with the Children’s Defense Fund and is a spokesperson for the Keep a Child Alive program.
Audrey Hepburn is another one of my fashion inspirations. I’ve always admired Audrey’s impeccable sense of style and her charity work. She had a graceful, humble spirit and was the epitome of chic. Audrey was born Edda Kathleen van Heemstra Hepburn-Ruston and trained as a dental assistant before making it big. Her famous “little black dress” from Breakfast at Tiffany’s, designed by Givenchy, was sold at auction for $920,000.
The product that I just can’t get enough of right now is my Hard Candy Lip Tattoo lip stain and breath freshening gloss. The color I use is a sparkly pink called Posy. The clear gloss smells and tastes like a peppermint candy and applies well. For years I have used Hard Candy because I appreciate their attention to detail with product packaging and love their inventive and fun cosmetics.
As for mascara, I trust Palladio herbal lengthening mascara because the application brush never clumps and makes my lashes look their best. What makes this product so unique is the formula and an attached comb and little brush.
